Pastor’s Weekly Message: 1/16/25

Dear Westview Friends,

Mark your calendars for Sunday, January 26, 2025, as we gather for a very special Mission Sunday! This day will be a celebration of the many ways God’s light shines through Westview Church as we reflect on our mission and look toward the future. A key part of the day will be our annual congregational meeting, where we’ll review the past year, plan for the year ahead, and dream together about how we can continue to grow in our outreach and ministry. For those unable to join in person, a Zoom link will be sent out in The View that week so everyone can participate.

I’m also excited to announce the launch of my new podcast series, On Forgiveness, which will run for the next 10 weeks. Forgiveness is one of the most transformative aspects of our faith, and this series will explore it from both theological and practical perspectives. Each episode will offer insights and tools for embracing forgiveness in our personal lives and relationships. It’s my hope that this podcast becomes a resource for you and for others who need the light of grace and renewal in their lives. Keep an eye out for links to the first episode, which will be shared soon.

Another exciting part of Mission Sunday will involve recording materials for our online ministry, including music pieces, introductions, and creative content to expand our digital outreach. We’ll also take time to focus on our branding efforts as our very own Peter C leads us in a discussion about graphics and logos!  Your input will be vital in shaping how we present Westview’s message of light and hope to the world.

This will be a Sunday filled with purpose, creativity, and connection. We look forward to coming together to celebrate all that God is doing through Westview and to take meaningful steps forward in our shared mission. See you on January 26th!
